An easy and delicious vegan cheese board, perfect for parties or any get-togethers! A step by step guide (with pictures) on how to make a vegan cheese board.

Cheeseboards are one of those things that don’t require a lot of cooking but looks impressive. They are very versatile and customizable.

Whether It’s for a snack or as an appetizer for guests, cheese boards are my go-to choice when I want to make something quick, easy and impressive.

Because they can be fancy or budget-friendly, cheese boards will become your favorite thing to make! Trust me!

Just pile on all your favorite things to snack on!! It’s that easy!

Here are the 6 easy steps for making a vegan cheese board, that will impress your guests each time!

Step 1 choose a serving board/plate

First thing first, choose a board or a large plate of your liking. I like to use wooden boards but anything will do.

Serving trays, cutting boards or small sheet pans are all perfect for this!

Step 2: Add cheese

Now to the main element: cheeses! I usually like to use 3 types of cheeses. A creamy one, a sharp one, and a mild one.

Here I am having a cashew-based Camembert, a log of creamy goat-like cheese with fresh herbs and mild crumbly cheese with oregano and thyme on top.

Cheese should always be at room temperature so make sure to take them out of the fridge a moment before starting to make your cheese board.

You can cut the cheese beforehand or place them as is on the board with knives so your guests can cut them by themselves.

I like to give my cheeses a greenery bed! This time I used arugula and rosemary! I placed it right under the cheese.

I bought these vegan cheeses from a lady in Rabat, unfortunately, she doesn’t have a shop but if you are in Morocco you can contact her through her Instagram page.

You can also make your cheese, like this easy garlic & herb cream cheese or this cashew-based aged Camembert.

I highly recommend visiting Full of plants blog, there is a ton of different vegan cheese recipes and all of them are incredible! Go check them out and don’t forget to get your hand on the free ebook for cheese making!

Step 3: Add bread

Bread, crackers anything you can use to eat the cheese with. I went for a simple sliced baguette with sesame seeds, to let the cheese shine by itself.

Fan the sliced bread around the cheese and the edges of your board for an easy grab.

Suggestions for bread: crackers, breadsticks.

Step 4: Add spreads and sauces

Because this cheese board has a lot of fruits, I wanted to balance that out with some savory

I am doing simple and using what I have on the fridge. My nut-free pesto (that you can find here) and a simple yet delicious dark tahini sauce.

Suggestions for spreads and sauces: jams, chutneys, hummus, or any kind of dip!

Step 5: Add fruits (& veggies)

You can go for fruits, veggies or a combination of both.

Grapes, figs, and apple are a great choice to go along cheese and bread.

Slice the apple, fan out the slices and scatter it in a few spots across the board. Same for figs, slice some in half and others in quarters.

Place the grapes on opposite sides of the board to create a balance. Don’t be afraid to break the grapes into relatively small pieces for an easy grab.

Suggestions for veggies: baby carrots, cucumber sticks, pickled veggies, cornichons, radishes, roasted red bell pepper.
Suggestions for fruits: fresh berries, cherry tomatoes, pears, plums, peaches.

Step 6: Add nuts ( & dry fruits)

Add nuts of choice, here I am using shelled walnuts! I opened a few and left the others as is. Place nuts in the center and fill in any gaps left on your board.

Suggestions for nuts: almonds, pistachios, peanuts, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, pecans.
Suggestions for dried fruits: raisins, coconut chips, dried apricots.

Lastly, fill in the gaps with whatever’s left and serve!!

And remember don’t be afraid of getting creative and have fun, you literally can’t mess it up!
