Pretty much my go-to, everyday makeup products are in my makeup bag. Some of them I have bought continuously over the years and to this day still rave about. As a mother of two kids, I don’t have the time to do a full face, so my makeup routine usually takes 5-10 minutes. And the less products used, the better. Neutrals are my first choice when choosing makeup, I’m not a fan of bold colours unless I’m planning a look for a special occasion. I rocked a red lip on new years eve!
I love to splurge on products like Mac, but at the same time, I also love my go-to drugstore products. The mascara I have always used is L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara that’s about $7 at Walmart. I just love the look of thick long lashes. Some people might say it clumps but it’s all about how you apply it. I get “Are those fake lashes?” all the time!
On the more expensive side, I am currently using Prolong Wear Foundation and Concealer by Mac. I find the foundation a bit heavy for my skin, so I use it on occasion. But the concealer is a must for under eye bags. It really helps brighten up the face and can be easily set with powder.
When I’m getting ready at home and have the time, I will use a foundation brush to apply foundation, but 90% of the time I wet my beauty blender and it’s good to go. I love that it gets into everything and you can control the weight of application.
My bronzer is the Bronze Booster B.B Beauty Balm by Physician’s Formula. Probably the best product I have that is easy on the skin. It’s hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, and oil-free. I have always been lucky with clear skin, but I consider it to be on the dryer side so I opted to using this just to prevent any breakouts.
Another drugstore product that I love love love is Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick. When I wear lipstick, it’s usually a soft pink or a nude. And I prefer a matte. Most of the time I’ll have a clear or pink gloss in my purse to apply on top of my lipstick while I’m out. There’s something about lip gloss that makes my lips feel and look fuller. I usually carry a Mac lipliner with me wherever I go as well, but I’m not into liners too much so it’s more for occasion.
Last but not least, my Naked 2 by Urban Decay. Did I mention I love nudes? This palette is very natural looking and gives your eyes a nice pop at the same time. I love that you can achieve a smokey eye with the medium-dark brown. I always have this in my makeup bag with a Sephora blending brush, but I only use it when I have the time.
