Pretty In Pink

Pretty In Pink

Pink is one of those colors i have a hate/love relationship with, but the past few months i’ve been loving some pink makeup. Probably because the weather is a bit warmer and what’s better than a pink blush or lipstick to brighten your day face, right?!

Blush wise, i am still digging the Topshop cream blush in Afternoon Tea that i got years ago. It’s the most stunning cream, pink blush i have ever used, don’t be afraid of the color on the pan, as it looks quite bright, but once you blend it on your cheeks, it sets into a beautiful powdery light pink. Another one of my favorite blushes is the Nars blush in the shade Deep Throat, it’s a hybrid between coral and pink with a very light satin finish. When i am looking for a more natural finish for a no makeup makeup, my go to is the Benefit Benetint. It’s a rose tinted lip and cheek stain that goes on very light but you can easily build the color to a more intense deep pink.

Another cheek product i love, the Nars illuminator in Copacabana. It’s a liquid highlighter that seems too light when you first take a look, but don’t judge too easily, it’s probably one of the most flattering pinky highlighter. It gives a subtle glow with a hint of pink and silver undertones. It may not suit darker skin tones, but it looks stunning on medium and fair skin tones.

Moving on to lipsticks, if you are looking for a light and moisturizing formula you should try the Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Lacque. The formula is very unique, it stays wet on the lips, but it’s not sticky!! I have the shade 02 which is a nude mauvy pink, i absolutely love that it’s a blue undertone lipstick so it makes your teeth appear whiter. Next, i also love the Nars velvet matte lip pencil in the shade Sex Machine, which is pretty much the same shade of the Bourjois but in a matte formula.

Last but not least, Tom Ford lipstick in Flamingo is the perfect bright pink. This is my first Tom Ford item and i totally understand why they are so pricey, the formula of this lipstick is wonderful! It glides on very easily, and feels like butter on your lips. I really need to pick some other colors from this range.

Wow, that Tom Ford lipstick is incredible! It looks like such a great spring and summer colour. Your Bourgeois lipstick is a nice colour as well. I have a really difficult time with pinks sometimes, so it’s nice to see and be reminded of just how many pink shades there are!

Droooooollll haha these all look lovely! I’m a lot like you, I definitely have a love/hate relationship with pink, a girl at a Mac counter once told me to steer clear of pinks and so I stayed with bronze or neutrals. Stuff it! I’m going pink now haha
