Crispy Oven Baked Fries - Healthy - Easy

Crispy oven-baked fries!? Sounds good right?!

Oven-baked fries

Potatoes are a staple in my kitchen, I love to cook them in various ways. And french fries are my absolute favorite, especially when they have crispy edges and a tender center.

Getting that extra crispy texture without deep frying the potato fries doesn’t always work.

While doing some research on how to get the perfect French fries I stumbled upon this technique.

Nothing fancy, it requires to soak your fries in salted water and leave them to soak for 30min.

It does work amazingly for deep frying but, does it works when baked in the oven?? Well, I tried it, more times than I could tell and, it does work wonderfully!!

Basically, soaking your potato fries in salted water helps them release some of their moisture while losing the starch. That’s how they become crispy as they cook.

This recipe makes for extra crispy oven-baked fries, seasoned with a flavorful blend of spice.

These crispy oven-baked fries are very customizable because you can use whatever blend of spice you like.

Here I am using salt, freshly ground black pepper, and a dash of smoked paprika.

I would highly recommend trying this recipe with smoked paprika, it tastes awesomely good.

I make this recipe quite often because it is highly addicting. Not to add, how easy is it to throw everything together in a sheet pan and bake.
