How to roast garlic - An easy step-by-step method to roast garlic without oil. NO peeling involved! Perfect as a spread on toasted baguette, mixed with a sauce, or a marinade. You can't go wrong with roasted garlic!

Ingredients
  • 1 head of garlic
  • pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. Slice the very top of the head of garlic. Make sure your cut uncovers some of the insides of the garlic cloves.

  3. Sprinkle with sea salt (optional step but I would recommend it)

  4. Wrap in foil. Or place in a dutch-oven and coved with the lid.

  5. Place on a baking tray and roast for about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Or until golden brown and fragrant and very soft to the touch.

  6. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.

Recipe Notes
  • Store roasted garlic as is (unpeeled) in a small container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
