Watermelon granita
This 2 ingredients frozen treat is one of my ultimate favorites for summertime! It’s easy, healthy, super refreshing during heat waves, and only made using a fork!!
Besides being the star of summer fruits, watermelon has more to offer than just a sweet taste. It’s super hydrating, full of nutrients, antioxidants and may improve heart health! If all the reasons above weren’t enough to convince you, let me tell you that this watermelon granita is absolutely delicious!
How to make watermelon granita
This granita is super easy to make, here is what you need to make it.
First of all, choose a ripe and juicy watermelon. Preferably without seeds but if you can’t find one that’s fine.
Cut it into small pieces and place the pieces in a freezer-friendly container. Using a fork mash the watermelon. If the watermelon is ripe enough and cut small enough it will be easy to mash.
Once the watermelon is mashed, fish out the seeds (if there’s any) using a fork. You don’t want to skip this step because no one wants to fish out seeds while enjoying their granita!!
And finally, place the container in the freezer for 30min. Every 30min, scrape the watermelon granita with a fork and freeze again until you get the perfect frozen texture.
