How to make apple crisp
It all starts with apples, diced and tossed directly into a baking pan. I would highly suggest using different varieties of apples (some sweet, some tart) as it gives a nice balance of flavor.
Add vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and some maple for extra sweetness. And finally, corn starch to help thicken the sauce!
Finally, in a bowl mix the remaining ingredients to make the crumble topping.
Layer over the apple filling, and into the oven it goes.
Serve warm (or cold!) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or coconut yogurt for a healthier alternative! Enjoy!
