Today’s recipe is a detox green juice with only 3 ingredients that actually taste so GOOD, and who is super filling. I used a blender for this particular one, and fresh fruits and veggies.
As much as I believe in healthy eating, I also believe that from time to time I need to treat myself to keep sane. The holiday season is probably the worst time of the year food wise.
Between Christmas dinners, NYE and all of the chocolate, I can really feel that my body is screaming for some healthy habits to come back.
This week, I am starting a juice cleanse to really clean my body from all the toxins, fat and sugar I had the past few weeks.
Juice cleanses are not my thing, I think it can be pretty aggressive for my body. I find that replacing some meals with juice works better for me. I, usually, substitute my lunch or dinner with a big glass of fresh juice.
Also, I hate when a detox green juice doesn’t taste good, I know it’s the benefits that matter and all that, but I do believe that we can make an effort making healthy food tasty.
Detox green juice with only 3 ingredients that actually taste so GOOD, and who is super filling. It's sweet, flavorful and good for you!
- 2 Granny smith apples
- 1 Medium cucumber
- 1 Tsp Lemon zest
- 1 Cup Water
Peel and cut the apples and cucumber in easy to blend pieces. Remove the seeds from the cucumber for a juice with a lighter texture.
Put all of the ingredients in your blender. Blend until smooth. Time may vary depending on your equipment.
